Let me tell you all one thing Dulles airport sucks. From bland design to no outlet to charge your phones. It is horrible plus getting to d.c. is a trip finding the metro bus to take you to the subway takes forever then trying to find the right train is next to impossible. Next time I'll get a cab. Then i got to the hotel and rested. The next day was just trying to restore my energy. As flying does snap your energy a little. Then at night after the royals game. I went touring the city.
You ask why i did it at night? First less people. Second not too bright to hurt my eyes. Finally cool breeze. So I went to see the white house and let me tell you it is overwhelming to see. I thought to myself after so much suffering and giving things up to help other I finally got to do something i like and see something beautiful. I know Obama there but he'll be gone soon. Hopefully a conservative will be there instead. I talked to the cop there and told him how awestruck i was and I thank him for protecting us from danger. Due to what was happening in Baltimore.
Then i saw the treasury building and the Smithsonian. Plus the Washington monument. I wanted to see the capital but it was a little longer walk and i was getting tired. Thursday came and people were trickling down to the hotel for the conference so the NFL draft was on. A aside to AFP. Next year don't have it on draft weekend! Well i went to a draft party with jim geraghty & Mickey white of the Jim & Mickey a morning zoo type of conservative show. Eye on politic, Randall Judt, Ed Morrissey from Hot Air and yes i did ask about Allahpundit as with Mary Katherine Ham. Come on folks I'm a guy who loves secrets but they didn't tell me and I love them for being true to Allah even thou he don't have Salman Rushie hate on him. Anyway Friday came and first person i saw in the lobby Tony Katz of the Tony Katz show on 95.1 WIBC in Indianapolis.
Then I saw Katy Abrams why i mentioned her first she organized this meet up Second and why i love her dearly is she took Arlen Spector down. Her you have awaken a sleeping giant speech made people take notice of the power of the Tea Party. I saw Rebeksy and it was great. Then it was night so time for sharyl attkisson. I skipped out on the last part and headed to the lobby. Boom Fingers Malloy was there John Brodigan,Sarah Smith, Ali Akbar, Sarah Rumpf, Ashe Schow, Larry O'Connor with Meredith Dake was there.
So before that I went across the street to see my friend Liz Mahr speak and it was open bar thank you.
There i saw Britney Cohen, Robert Stacy Mccain, Sean Hannity Hair, Kristina Ribali. I helped out Liz by getting email for her. Also made some contacts which was good to do. Then who shows up but freaking Brandon Darby and now the fun really begins I won't tell you all everything that happened but me and Brandon and a few other had a great time. Brandon treated me really well I was shocked he would do that to me I'm a nobody compared to who i was with. Damn it we should of got a picture together. Anywho went to bed.
Woke up the next morning. Had to get a outfit quickly so i wouldn't miss Micky White panel. It was a informative panel that I learned so much stuff. Kristina had to jet out of there to get back home. Then a little meet and greet where i saw Hugh Hewitt, Wanye Dupree, Stacy on the right. Also Jackie Siciliano from team Sarah was there. James O'keefe was there to promote his book. The next panel I went to was personal. The panel name was What would Andrew Brietbart do. What can i say that man believed in me to have me on his team before he died. I had to go there Sonnie Johnson, James O'keefe, Brandon Darby and Larry O'Connor as MC.
Sonnie Johnson the bad cop of black conservative women as she bluntly told us because she was supposed to take 15 mins. She took 22 mins instead. She brought the house down with her truths. Then James O'keefe told us how his investigations circumnavigate the msm and hit local news stations instead. Where he could reach the low info voters. Brandon told his story about how he was alone after informing on leftist activists plans to attack the 2008 RNC convention. How Andrew protected him and help him be able to provide for his daughter. He missed his friend Andrew as a lot of people do. The last panel was great because we had Ben Howe, Fingers Malloy, Mary Katharine Ham, Guy Benson who two days later came out. Also John Brodigan was there too. Jon Gabriel was supposed to be on the panel but got sick and went back home so Ben had a great time poking fun at him and we learn much about how to take the right video. No portrait shot is the main giveaway. That will get Ben Howe pissed at you.
After that it was time to unwind. So a bunch of us just chilled out on the lobby and hanged out. Then sunday was a quiet time before leaving on Monday.
Overall I was glad to get there. So many connections with people I knew. Also how they were there for me let me hanged out with them and so much fun. It sorta sucks that i'm back here in tulsa dealing with a job that don't values my hard work.
